Dr Aliabadi recently appeared on “Face The Truth TV”, a nationally syndicated show that airs in Los Angeles on CBS. She gave the show’s guest, who wanted to wait another 5 years to have her first child, a quick lesson on women’s fertility in their forties.
As Dr. Aliabadi’s patients know, women are born with one to two million eggs. At puberty that number is about 300,000 to 400,000 eggs. A woman in her mid-30’s has approximately 100,000 eggs and that number drops to 1,000 in menopause.
By the time we reach the age of 45, our chances for pregnancy drop to close to zero because not only are most of our eggs depleted, the quality of eggs that are left are sadly not what they used to be (when we were younger).

Ps. Face The Truth is hosted by Vivica A. Fox and co-hosted by attorney Areva Martin, clinical psychologist Dr. Judy Ho, Judge Mary Chrzanowski aka Judge “Scary Mary,” and life coach Rosie Mercado.
Each episode, airing Monday through Friday, features real people presenting their problems big and small to the hosts in search of solutions. The panel offers their opinion on issues ranging from dating and relationships to bad habits to parenting. Studio and at-home audiences can also weigh in on the conversation and vote on who is right and who is wrong.
